ENTRANCE GATES

Massingir Gate

This gate lies at the northern end of the dam wall at Massingir village. At this gate visitors are admitted to the PNL   Headquarters, Campismo Aguia Pesquera and also to the Giriyondo Gate which affords access to the Kruger Park.

Giriyondo Gate

This gate admits visitors to and from the Kruger Park. It is approximately a one hour drive from Letaba Camp and two hours from Massingir.

Pafuri Gate

The Pafuri Gate affords access from the Kruger Park into the buffer zone of the Parque Nacional do Limpopo. Travel between this gate and Mapai is unrestricted. Vehicles using this route can cross the Limpopo by 4x4 at Mapai but only at low water flows. Arrangements must be made with PNL HQ if visitors wish to travel through the park from Mapai to Massingir.

Mapai Control

Visitors will only be admitted into the park if they are already in possession of a permit. This can be arranged with PNL HQ.
