Accommodation: Guests are accommodated in a 4-bed chalet, each with a breathtaking view of the lagoon. The uniquely designed chalets are built entirely from indigenous materials by local artisans, however they have a modern western bathroom, equipped with the latest South African sanitary ware. A fully-equipped common kitchen and dining room where each chalet has an assigned gas stove, freezer space (for meat only), is conveniently situated to ensure minimal noise disturbance. Chalets are cleaned daily, and a dishwashing service is available by day. There are several restaurants 8 km across the bay in Bilene and frozen prawns and fish are often available for purchase from the lodge.
If you prefer camping see our campsite hyperlink. Electric Power: There is no electric power at Villa da Luz other than that provided by a low-capacity solar system and a generator. The generator is operated until 9:00pm for lighting and entertainment, and when water needs to be pumped from our borehole. There are no power points in the chalets, but cell phones can be charged from the solar powered inverter in the kitchen area. Rates: Accommodation rates are: R150 per person per night. Please note that we do not accept children. Up to 4 persons per chalet can be accommodated. Payment: Deposit of 50% within 48 hours to confirm reservation. Full payment 2 weeks before arrival unless prior agreement is obtained.
