Campground - Vista d' Montanha Our sister resort, Vista d'Montanha - Mountain View - is located on top of a huge dune 1km from Villa da Luz. It has a limited number of campsites which are secluded, but all have stunning views of the lagoon. There are showers with hot and cold water, flush toilets, braai pits and washing sinks. Bring everything else. The emphasis is upon quiet, seclusion, relaxation and contemplation. No rowdies with boom-boxes here. Just a few other like-minded, independent, self-sufficient people some distance away, who may become friends. Heavy duty, high-clearance camping trailers can be dragged up the steep slope to the campground but no caravans are permitted. Boats and boat trailers can be safely left and launched at Villa da Luz. NB Vista d'Montagnha can only accept reservations for 5 or more nights. Electric Power: There is no electric power available at Vista d'Montanha. Private generators are not permitted because of the disturbance they cause. Bring gas lamps, cookers and fridges.
Rates: R50 per person per night. 10 December to 10 January R200 per camp site per night. Payment: 2 weeks in advance of arrival date, 50% deposit to confirm reservations. NB: Local firewood is soft and pulpy. Charcoal is made and sold by roadside villagers but you should bring a supply of wood and charcoal to be safe. Click here for Vista d' Montanha Reservations
